Ashley Madekwe and Ashley Leggat

Madekwe came from a multi-cultural family. Born within South London. Her father is Nigerian-Swiss while her mother was English. She was raised in the south of a London community estate, where she attended The Brit School at age 14. At the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art is where she earned a BA degree in acting. She appeared on stage in many productions while attending school including the role of King Henry V, as Princess Katherine as well as Wuthering Heights, as Catherine Earnshaw.
Madekwe's acting career started with Storm Damage. In the following years, she appeared in Teachers, Doctors Casualty and Drop Dead Gorgeous. Madekwe's debut film role was Woody Allen's Cassandra's Dream (2007), with Colin Farrell. Then, she was the lead in Elisha on a BBC Three pilot drama, in West 10 LDN. In addition, she appeared as Ollie for six episodes of Trexx, Flipside, and Flipside. The year 2008 saw her had the opportunity to play the role of Bambi in The ITV2 drama series Secret Diary of a Call Girl which aired in episodes two and three. Madekwe starred in the comedy feature film How to Lose Friends & Get People to Leave. A couple of her credits on stage include Little Sweet Thing (by Roy Williams) as well as Flight Path (by David Watson).
Madekwe was cast as Ashley Davenport on ABC's drama The Beautiful Life. The two-episode series aired for just the duration of two weeks The CW and then it ended. In February of 2011 she was cast as Ashley Davenport in the ABC drama series Revenge. Madekwe appeared in all episodes of the series' second season as the show's regular. But in May of 2013, it was announced that announcement was made that she would be departing the show following her guest appearance in the premiere episode of its third season. She played Tituba on the television series Salem from 2014 to 2016. Madekwe, her long-time companion, Iddo, married Madekwe in June 2012. They've worked together in the show Secret Diary of a Call Girl and also played a part with her on the show Salem.

Ashley Leggat, a twice Gemini nominated actress, was raised in a large family living in Hamilton, Ontario. Her parents were Roy and Patty and four older brothers: Rob, Brett, and twins Todd and Bram. Ashley's four brothers, who were all extremely athletic, played hockey in the winter months and played baseball in the summer, so she basically grew up in arenas and baseball parks. Ashley was never able to walk, but she danced. When she turned two-and-a-half she took up Baby Ballet and fell in with. That was the start of Ashley's interest in dance. Ashley continued to compete until her high-school graduation at the top levels of competitions, such as ballet, tap, Jazz, Pointe, Acrobatics, Musical Theatre, Lyrical, Hip Hop, and more. She won the top soloist at each of the major dance competitions including, International Dance Challenge, Showstoppers, 5-6-7-8 Showtime, Flash Dance, and Dance, Dance, Dance among others.
